General Purpose Analysis
Monitran General Purpose Analysis Sensors are ideal for use with portable and on-line vibration analysers, providing the user with a complete spectrum of vibration intensity against frequency. Changes in this spectrum allow the user to determine the health of the machinery to which the sensor is attached. Most analysers will store the spectral values and monitor changes over a period of time, allowing prediction of expected component life and enabling efficient planning of maintenance schedules.
This type of information is required in a wide range of environments so while the basic output is common to all sensors in this category there are many variations allowing them to be used in those different environments ranging from:
 - standard industrial conditions
- submersible and long term wet operation
- approved under ATEX, IECEx and ANZEx for use in hazardous areas
- restricted access locations
Two series are available: our long-standing, tried and trusted 1100 range and the newly available 2200 range with enhanced performance for more demanding applications. The 2200 series sensors feature high performance electronics giving:
 - increased shock resistance eliminating signal interruption during high shock loading episodes
- a stable bias across the temperature range eliminating sensitivity changes at high temperature
