Monitran Ltd, the leading manufacturer of vibration sensors and condition monitoring devices, is launching the latest addition to its range, the MTN/410 indicating vibration sensor.
Developed for use in a wide range of applications including pumps, fans, motors and turbines, the MTN/410 is a fully self-contained, battery powered unit, with unique features designed to benefit the most demanding applications.
The MTN/410 requires no external power source or wiring, making it ideal for condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, short-term maintenance and trouble shooting in the remotest of locations. A sharp tap is all that is needed to turn the unit on, whilst a lithium manganese battery gives a typical operating life of five years (depending on conditions) with the indicator reverting to “sleep” automatically after one minute, further extending battery life.
Another important feature of the MTN/410 is an integral LCD, allowing on-site engineers to assess the status of the equipment being monitored without the need for additional instruments.
The unit is extremely accurate, being based on a proven, accelerometer technology, and uses a micro-controller to process and display signals. The MTN/410 has a displayed velocity range of 0 to 99mm/sec rms, a measurement bandwidth of 6Hz to 1kHz, a temperature range of -20˚C to +85˚C and conforms to international standards.
The MTN/410 has a robust stainless steel construction and features a variable position mounting unit, specially designed to be installed on any plane, making it quick and easy to attach the sensor to the equipment being monitored and providing a clear view of the LCD.
For many years Monitran products have been the first choice for customers requiring cost-effective and efficient sensors. With the addition of the MTN/410 indicating vibration sensor to its range of products, Monitran can expect the trend to continue.
